<div>Meet the Taylor family, Whitfield, Bebe (9) and Apryl (7). Whitfield is an incredibly dedicated single dad who has embarked on a journey to give his family a better future by going to Portland Community College Rock Creek to get a degree in Marine Welding. The girls are thrilled to support their dad as he becomes a student just like them! In order for him to succeed, they need a car. Currently the family relies on public transportation. Whitfield takes the girls to school via MAX and the bus, then heads to his school which takes approx 2 hours. He's completely willing to do the riding, transferring and walking rain, sun or shine. The main issue is getting home in time to pick the girls up from afterschool care. If he has a car, he can make it on time. If he has to use public transportation, he can't, so the whole dream of going back to school won't work.

<div>My name is Jennifer Macfarlane (the GoFundMe organizer), I have been a mentor for Bebe through KSMoCA at MLK Elementary School in Portland for over a year. I have seen what a wonderful family this is, they are a mighty team. I have seen how driven Whitfield is to make a big change for his family. Nothing can stop his grind and his can-do attitude. He just needs a way to get back to his girls everyday after he finishes school. Your donation will mean Whitfield can do that. We would be so grateful for any support you can offer. If you're unable to donate, please share our story. Let's help this team get on the road to a new future. Thank you so much.
