Panic engulfed his family. His granddaughter Heather administered CPR, desperately trying to breathe life back into her beloved grandfather.

Since that heart-wrenching day, Gerald has undergone numerous surgeries, each one a testament to his enduring will to survive.

<div>As of September 4th, Gerald has been transferred to an acute care clinic, where he continues his courageous battle to recover. Through it all, the Benton family remains steadfast in their faith and gratitude, acknowledging the boundless support and blessings they've received.
