<div>I am currently battling end-stage kidney disease and rely on dialysis 3 times a week just to survive. My ultimate hope is to receive a lifesaving kidney transplant, but I've hit a heartbreaking roadblock. Despite my medical need, I was recently denied placement on the transplant list in Spokane, Washington, <em>not because of my health</em>, but because I couldn't secure stable housing in Spokane which is understandably required by the hospital for all transplant patients. Like many others in my position, I'm unable to work due to my kidney disease, and that has left me without the financial means to meet the basic requirements like housing, or the simple ability to easily move somewhere else.

<div><strong>There is a brighter path ahead</strong>: I have the opportunity to be placed on a transplant list in Arizona, but to do that I must relocate and secure a safe and stable place to live there. This move is more than a change of scenery - it's the bridge between my current fight and a future filled with hope. In Arizona there are more veteran resources available to help me secure housing than in Idaho and Washington, so Arizona is now my last hope.
