<div><strong>UPDATE — October, 17th 2026</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Monday, August 24th, 2026, I had to say my final goodbye to my dad at his funeral.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I still cannot fully comprehend that he is never coming back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything still feels so unreal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am incredibly grateful to the 10 kind people who have supported me so far. Together, you have donated €356, and I truly cannot thank you enough. Every single donation means a lot to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thank you for being here and for taking the time to read about my dad. ❤️</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My dad suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and lost consciousness almost immediately. Shortly afterwards, on the same day, he experienced a second brain bleed at the hospital and had to undergo several hours of emergency surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He had fallen into a coma because of the severe bleeding in his brain and never regained consciousness, even after the surgery. The doctors told us that his prognosis was very, very poor. We continued to hope and pray for a miracle every single day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But he was just too badly injured.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Monday, July 20th, 2026, my daddy died...
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I still struggle to understand that those were the last days I would ever have with him. He was here, and then suddenly he wasn't.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I keep having these little moments where I think, “Oh, I need to call Dad and tell him this.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And then I remember.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I can't.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will never hear his voice again. I will never be able to hug him again. I will never see his name appear on my phone again. I will never be able to ask him for advice or simply tell him something that happened during my day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don't think you can ever truly prepare yourself for losing a parent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And right now, it still doesn't feel real.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While I am trying to process losing my dad, there is also a long list of things that now have to be taken care of.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am facing the costs of the funeral and burial, the engraving for his gravestone, rent and utilities during the notice period for his apartment, expenses related to his allotment garden, clearing out his apartment, outstanding bills, and other costs that come with settling everything after his death.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know that everyone has their own struggles and that not everyone is in a position to donate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to contribute, no matter how small the amount, I would be incredibly grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if you cannot donate, please don't feel bad. Sharing this fundraiser with someone else would already mean so much to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thank you</strong> for taking the time to read my dad's story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And thank you <strong>for remembering him. </strong>❤️
</div>
<div><br />
