<div>On the 25th of June, my sister went into surgery to have a mass removed from her neck. A few days later, she got a phone call that no one ever wants to get; the mass was cancerous.

<div>She was diagnosed with metastatic papillary thyroid cancer. The doctors quickly made a plan to remove her thyroid. Her second surgery happened on July 21st to remove her thyroid and any cancerous lymph nodes in her neck to give her a fighting chance. They ended up taking a lot of lymph nodes out along with her thyroid.

<div>She is now recovering from surgery and has to go through radioactive iodine treatment weeks later to kill off any more existing cancer cells left in her body.

<div>Faith is currently at high risk of recurrence and will be getting scans every 3-6 months to make sure the cancer doesn't come back, along with all the blood work that will be needed to manage her levels for the rest of her life.

<div>I know she would never ask for help with her medical bills, so I am doing it for her because she shouldn't have to worry about finances during this time.
