<div>I'm Anthony, I’m a former Army Ranger, and I need your help. Not for me, but for <strong>homeless veterans</strong>. I've developed Project Step to <strong>end veteran homelessness and curb the 22-40 veteran suicides a day</strong>. I think the issues are interrelated. I’m not giving them a place to live. With volunteer tradespeople, like with Habitat for Humanity, the veterans will work alongside to build their own one-story apartment. Unlike problems with public housing where people are just given a place and therefore have no “skin in the game,” I feel this is why there are so many issues with public housing. This will also give the veterans a marketable entry-level trade: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, masonry, etc. For necessary materials, I will engage with Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart for donations in exchange for advertising consideration. I will also apply for grants from the VA and other entities. One of the primary uses of donations will be to secure land for this project. This is not a one-off. As the first one is underway, more will be started in various regions. I am applying for a 501(c)(3) designation. Once received, these will qualify as charitable contributions.
