<div>I’ve been on HRT for almost 3 years now, and it has truly helped me to feel like myself, improving my mental health greatly. The change from waking up every single day, hating my body because it didn’t feel like mine, was definitely taking a toll on me mentally. I felt like I was pretending to be someone I wasn’t, and everything just felt wrong, awkward, and uncomfortable. Testosterone obviously hasn’t solved all my problems, but every day since my first shot, I’ve been loving myself more and more. It’s helped me feel comfortable to explore how I dress and present myself to the world, and everything feels much more genuine. When it comes down to it, I feel like transitioning has allowed me to love myself more than I ever could have imagined before I started. My chest is one of the few things left that causes me bad dysphoria, and I feel like I’ll be able to continue to rediscover myself after top surgery.
