<div>7 years ago there was a viral video on Facebook about a group on Facebook called “I Run For”. This group aimed to pair runners with children who can’t run- due to mental or physical disabilities. This is how I met E and his mother.

<div>E is a 13 yo non-verbal autistic little boy who’s being raised by his single mother, Carrie. Carrie stays home with E because he requires round the clock care. Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc on the Carolinas. E and Carrie have been without power for a week. They’ve lost all their food and have a tree in their trailer home. Due to the age of their home they do not have home insurance. They’re blocked in their home by over 15 trees.
