<div>My mom recently experienced something no one ever expects — a severe aspergillus mold outbreak in her apartment that made it unsafe to live in. The contamination spread through the air and into everything porous — her clothes, furniture, bedding, couch, and more. Sadly, almost all of her belongings had to be thrown away for health and safety reasons.

<div>She now has to move immediately and start over from scratch — finding a new safe home, replacing essentials, and rebuilding a sense of stability after this devastating loss. She filed a claim with her renters insurance and they aren’t covering anything.

<div>My mom is one of the kindest people I know. She’s always been the one to help others in need — and now she’s the one who needs our help.
