<div>She was admitted to the hospital in Chetwynd on March 27th with signs of a stroke. Over the next few days, her heart rate became dangerously unstable, and doctors determined she was at high risk for a heart attack.

<div>On March 31st, she was flown to Vancouver, where she is now waiting for a triple bypass surgery.

</div>

<div>In the early hours of April 3rd at 1:45 a.m., she was rushed for a CT scan after coughing up small amounts of blood. We’ve since been told it’s nothing to be concerned about right now, which has been a bit of a relief.

<div>At the same time, our brother Dwayne is also in Vancouver going through a stem cell transplant as he fights cancer for the second time. Having both of them going through this at once has been incredibly hard on our family.

<div>We’re raising funds to help with travel, medical-related expenses, care when our mom comes home, everyday bills, and to fix up her home so it’s a safe and healthy place for her to recover.
