<div>My son, <strong>Brenen Christopher Mapes</strong>, 33 years old, committed suicide when he went out to his residence carport on Wednesday, July 17 of this year and ended his life at 5:49 pm by hanging himself.

<div>I'm medically disabled and receive social security disability, so that is why I'm desperately reaching out and asking for help with my son's final expenses.

<div>Over the last year, I've endured six emergency vascular surgeries that included seven stent placements, and I have also been diagnosed with 3rd stage kidney disease. Two months ago, I was diagnosed with myeloproliferative neoplasm, a blood cancer where a mutation in the JAK2 gene in the bone marrow produces too many blood platelets.

<div>I'd gladly give up the fight for those issues, but I can't lose this fight in laying my son Brenen's body to rest. <strong>A father is not supposed to bury his child; he was supposed to bury me.</strong>
