<div>Two months ago, I lost my mother — my safest place, my homeland — in a missile strike as we tried to escape from Beit Lahia to western Gaza.

<div>That day, we were all together: **my grandfather, grandmother, aunt, mother, father, my sisters, and I** — running side by side, fleeing death, searching for safety.

<div>But the war didn’t spare us. The planes fired four missiles directly at us.

</div>

<div>**We were all injured.** Every one of us — including my grandparents and aunt — suffered painful wounds and **severe burns** in that attack.

<div>My 3-year-old sister **Sara** lost her eye.

</div>

<div>My 12-year-old sister **Rama** was critically wounded — shrapnel tore through her body, broke her hand, knocked out her teeth, and severed an artery.

<div>My aunt was also wounded.

</div>

<div>And everyone from our family still carries pain — in their bodies or in their hearts.
