Our best friend is facing an incredibly difficult battle with his brain cancer. Corey's condition has since worsened, preventing Aleesha from returning to work as she provides him with 27/4 care. Due to the extensive care he has needed since the beginning of the year, she has exhausted all financial support options that can be offered to her. It's a heartbreaking situation, and while we're respecting the privacy of him and his family, we're also looking for ways to offer support and comfort for them during this challenging time. At this point in his battle, we ask for donations, prayers, and support. 
 
We're so incredibly grateful for the generosity that was shown previously. The past donations made a real difference, and we can't thank everyone enough for being there for them. With all of the support and donations previously, they were able to purchase the stairlift that was needed to improve his mobility in and out of the house and relieve some financial burdens.
 
Unfortunately, it's with a heavy heart that they're asking for support once more. The challenges they're facing continue to worsen, leading to financial hardships. Any further donations offered or support would be deeply appreciated.

Our best friend, Corey Sousa, is more than just a friend—he’s our family. He’s the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, the kind of husband, son, and friend who brings light to everyone around him. But for the last four years, Corey has been facing the toughest battle of his life. 
 
For those of you that don't know Corey's story, he was diagnosed 4 years ago with high-grade pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma and leptomeningeal disease (a very aggressive brain cancer that has spread to his spine). Over the last 4 years he has been slowly declining and requiring more physical assistance and aggressive changes in his treatment course. In the past year, he has endured multiple brain surgeries and now travels to Boston every week for treatment that is administered directly into his head. Since the beginning of his battle, he has been unable to work as a FedEx driver—something that once gave him pride in providing for his family, leaving his wife the stress of being the sole provider. Unfortunately, his wife has been unable to return to work since his major decline in Decemeber as he continues to require 24/7 care at home leading to financial hardships. She has been his sole caregiver since the start of his diagnosis with support from close family and friends. 
 
Most recently his mobility has taken a turn for the worse, making it difficult to climb stairs and get around the house. The things Corey once loved, like playing video games and diving into the world of Star Wars, have become impossible due to his declining motor function. Even basic tasks have become a challenge like walking, eating and bathing. 
 
This fundraiser is to help ease the overwhelming financial burden on Corey and his family. Donations will go toward:
