<div>My name is Josh, and my nephew, one of my favorite people in the whole world, recently turned 10 years old. He spent his birthday in a hospital, where he had been immediately admitted upon receiving his diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. ALL is an aggressive type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells and rapidly spreads the cancerous cells throughout the body, attacking the organs.

<div>The discovery of the leukemia in late July was a medical emergency that caused Cody to be admitted immediately so his chemotherapy could begin right away. The treatment plan for Cody's leukemia is a life-changing one. So much so that Cody will not be able to return to school for fifth grade.

<div>My sister and brother-in-law (Cody's parents) are remaining by his side through all this, and the cost is high and will remain so for the foreseeable future. While I know this GoFundMe appears to have a high goal, I promise you it is only a fraction of the financial impact this will have on them over the next year. <strong>My goal is to attempt to ease that financial pain so their focus can remain on Cody and his treatment plan to keep him on the road to remission.</strong>
