<div>May 31st, 2025, North Salinas High School Sophomore, 16yo Clara Adams, competed in the California CIF (High School) State Finals, in Clovis, CA
</div>
<div>Clara competed and won her 400M Final, with a time of 53.24 seconds. Beating the 2nd place finisher by more than a 1/4 of a second.

<div>If the story ended there, Clara would have then competed for a 2nd State Championship of the day, in the 200M, 45 minutes later.

<div>The CIF Officials not only disqualified Clara from the 400 meters, they also decided to DQ Clara from competing in the 200 meters.

<div>The state championship being stripped away from Clara made National news covered by Fox News, CNN, New York Post, KSBW 8, KION 46 just to name a few.

<div>Clara has been given the opportunity to compete in the 200M and 400M at the AAU JUNIOR NATIONALS , July 21 - July 27 in Houston TX.
