<div>We are in desperate need of financial support since <strong>Brian was fired after surviving being buried alive.</strong>

<div>The company he dedicated nearly 10 years of his life to, and was told he would always have a job with, claimed he was a liability after his near-death accident and fired him immediately after he completed the job.

<div>His last check from the company he worked for was the first week in April, and although he has been restricted from work by physicians and a psychiatrist, workers' comp still has not started paying him. He hired an attorney to help, but he has done very little to nothing to assist.

<div>Brian currently suffers from numerous physical and mental health problems since his accident. Anyone that knows Brian knows he would never admit to having mental health problems, but since his accident, there is no denying he is suffering. He has developed such severe anxiety that he will uncontrollably shake and often become paralyzed when something triggers it. It is made worse when he is out in public and around too many people at one time, and on unfamiliar ground surfaces. He mainly only leaves our home and property to go to doctor's appointments. When he is away from home, he becomes very distressed about the ground he stands and walks on. He feels it may cave in at any time and bury him again. Every time he falls asleep, he has the same recurring nightmare that causes him to relive his near-death experience. He wakes up drenched in sweat, shaking, anxious, and confused. He also has been burdened with depression and PTSD. He was born with asthma, which has been severely affected by the contaminated soil he inhaled when he was buried. When the ground opened up underneath him and swallowed him alive, his body was in such a twisted and contorted position underground that the compaction and pressure encasing him in the soil re-injured his neck and back from prior successful surgeries and caused an array of new injuries affecting his hip, knee, shoulder, and other areas of his body. His physical ailments will hopefully eventually heal, but his mental instability will likely continue, and he will experience life-altering mental challenges for the rest of his life.

<div>Since his accident, he has not, and probably will not ever be the same. He had always been a pillar of strength, courageous, and emotionally strong, but not so much anymore. Every single day he suffers emotionally, physically, and mentally from his traumatic experience, and having no income makes things even more difficult.
</div>

<div>Fortunately and unfortunately, I am disabled and unable to work so I can be with him every day. The unfortunate part is we have no income because of my inability to work. My disability significantly impacted our lives, only to be more afflicted after Brian’s accident.
</div>

<div>In May 2020, I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) after rupturing my plantaris muscle tendon. I suffer from the CRPS type I and II, which affects the majority of the right side of my body. I have the cold type in my lower extremity and the burning kind in my scapula area and arm. CRPS ruined my life, and I often mourn my healthy self. Even more so now that I cannot help ease our financial hardship. We lost our health insurance when Brian was fired, and last month I was denied Medicaid because Brian already earned too much at the beginning of the year before he was fired. I am currently trying to get disability, but that may take some time. I see a neurologist monthly and have very expensive medications that help me have a better quality of life, but without insurance and any income, I do not know what is going to happen with my future physical self.

<div>Yesterday (6/19), Brian literally sold the gold chain off his neck so we could take our 15-year-old cat, Bigg, to the vet. Bigg is most likely in liver failure and will not be with us much longer. Plus, we have 3 other four-legged kids to care for - Bigg’s blood sister “B”, Gidget our Australian Cattle Dog who acts as Brian’s emotional support animal, and her younger bulldog sister, Ellie, who seems to know what is going on and lends a paw when needed.
