<div>I'd like to tell you a little bit about Kenny and his family. Kenny served in the US Army for 8 years. He was a US Army Combat Veteran. While he served, he was in Operation Just Cause Panama. He worked for Watsontown Trucking for 22 years. After reaching his Million Mile Milestone, he decided to work closer to home. Kenny is married to my sister Robin. Kenny and Robin are the kind of people who would help anyone but would never ask for help for themselves. They've been married for 27 years. They have three children and 16 grandchildren. They raised their oldest grandson since he was 2 months old. His name is Cameron. Cameron was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two. He is 22 years old now. Between the two of them, they try to keep Cameron active every day. Every week, he goes to the YMCA to swim and participate in the Shimmy and Shake Program. Once a year, they take him to the beach. Two of Cameron's favorite places are the beach and Knoebels Amusement Resort.

<div>Recently, Kenny had shoulder surgery and then caught pneumonia. He wasn't getting better or getting his strength back, so the doctors ordered more blood work. Then, they ordered a bone marrow biopsy. The results came back that he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It's still so hard to believe. Kenny just finished his first chemo treatment. The doctor said the worst starts after the chemo treatment is over. After he was diagnosed with AML, I looked it up to see what he's dealing with. I was devastated. I learned that the survival rate to reach 5 years is 27%. We are all hoping and praying that with his age, genetics, and how he responds to the treatment, it will increase his chances. Kenny's been out of work for months now, with the shoulder surgery, then pneumonia, and now leukemia. The bills are starting to pile up, plus the medical bills are starting to come in. It's really putting a strain on them both. Family members are helping what they can, but it's nowhere near what they'll need. It's even getting hard to keep gas in the car so Robin and Cameron can go visit Kenny at the hospital. The doctor said Kenny will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks yet. He may be able to come home for a little while, but then back in for possibly another month and a week. He has a very long road ahead of him. <strong>I really wish my family and I didn't have to ask for help, but we can't do this on our own. Please, if you would be so kind to help us, help them.
