<div>Over the last 46 years, <strong>Bob &amp; Edwina Tatum have built a beautiful haven on the North Toe River in Minneapolis, North Carolina.</strong> Their home on the river was filled with memories; their land shared with two horses, Shiner and Shaddrach. People from the community and beyond were always welcome.

<div>In late September 2024, <strong>Hurricane Helene ripped through Southern Appalachia and took everything they had with it.</strong> Their home, horses, cats, and barn all swept away in the Mighty Toe.

<div>Their home insurance will not cover any of their loss. FEMA has provided some financial aid to help rebuild but it is only a small portion of what their home was worth.
