<div>In March, I had a heart attack, and while I was at the hospital, they found a small mass on my thyroid while doing a CAT scan of my heart and mentioned it. That’s when life took a really unexpected turn for me. That small mass grew quickly. <strong>It was thyroid cancer.</strong> Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of appointments, scans, prescriptions, and some really difficult decisions to make alone. I just had my thyroid removed and am recovering from surgery. I still have more treatment to come as well.

<div>I tried to work intermittently, but it was too much for me. I had only worked a handful of shifts since March, and at this point, it’s not even a possibility for three or four more months. I don’t have any income at all. It’s very difficult for me to ask for help, and I always try to be very independent. But I’m asking now. <strong>Raising funds would help with medical costs, medication, copays, transportation to and from appointments when needed, and basic bills to support myself and would alleviate some of the strain.</strong> Any support, whether it’s just sharing my story or a donation, means the world to me.
