<div>I’m reaching out because two challenges, finding stable full time (with health care) work and protecting my health are crashing together. Since losing my full-time role in December 2022, I’ve submitted more than 2,000 applications, fought through 12 final interviews, and still have no permanent offer, leaving me to string together short-term gigs that can’t keep pace with New York City rent or insurance premiums. At the same time, I am gratefully cancer-free after Stage 2 treatment which started in 2023, yet constant financial stress has already pushed my anxiety and Crohn’s disease out of remission in 2025; my doctors warn that major surgery is next due to scar tissue and dead zone areas in my small intestine(s) and the very real possibility of an ostomy bag which is crushing to me mentally and psychologically. To safeguard both my career and my body (I will be starting a holistic regiment back home so I can have a real chance at getting these internal tissues healed PLUS getting this scar tissue out without surgery), I’m making the best decision to leave on June 14, via U-Haul so I can live with/near family, lower my living costs until I move into a place, and conduct my job search from a place where a missed freelance payment isn’t life threatening.

<div>I’m asking for $8,560 to cover the moving, movers, gas, tolls, movers, one month of storage, first-month expenses, follow-up scans (naturopath), specialist co-pays, and the anti-inflammatory nutrition (which I haven't had consistently in over a year due to rising costs and inflation costs) that keeps my Crohn’s in check while I interview for the stable role I have worked so hard to earn. Every contribution; whether it’s $5, $50, helps me turn this into a new chapter filled with health, security, and the next step in my life.
