<div>As many of you know, Arien is in need of a liver transplant.
</div>
<div>Because of a blood disorder called hemoglobin e it has been extremely difficult to find a donor who not only matches blood types, has enough healthy liver to donate, but also possesses this disorder.
</div>
<div>His parents (Sema &amp; Shekhar) are paying from their own funds to keep him in the hospital during this extended period to ensure that Arien is healthy enough to undergo and survive the upcoming surgery.
</div>
<div>The hospital stay is costing them about 30,000 rupees a day, which roughly comes out to $340 US dollars. He's already been there for a couple weeks. It adds up quickly, and that's a lot for anyone of us to take on, let alone that this money should be their retirement fund.
</div>
<div>I'm hoping that we can pull together enough money to help cover not only the hospital stay, but also part of the surgery so they don't dry up their life savings!
</div>
