Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I am sharing my story with a vulnerable heart, hoping for understanding and support as I take steps to rebuild my life. I am a hardworking, employed parent, doing everything I can to keep my children safe while trying to create a way out for us. After enduring 13 years of domestic violence, I have finally found the strength to leave and am now working to build a safer, happier future for myself, my children, and our pets. This decision was not easy, but I know it is the right one for our well-being and peace of mind.

 Leaving now, during such a hostile and uncertain time—both within our home and in the world around us—feels absolutely terrifying. The impact of this long-term abuse has been profound, especially on my children. They have experienced fear and uncertainty for far too long, and I am determined to give them the stability and safety they deserve. In addition to the legal challenges, I am also trying to relocate back to my home state to be near my mother, who is a vital source of support for us. The journey to safety and stability comes with significant financial challenges. I am raising funds to cover legal representation, court fees, relocation expenses, and other costs necessary to finalize my divorce, move closer to family, and protect my loved ones. Every dollar raised will go directly toward these needs, helping me secure the support and protection we need to move forward. I am committed to taking all necessary steps to get out as soon as possible.

 After finding my strength to leave, I realize it takes a village sometimes and am humbly reaching for help in any form. I just want to be happy and safe with my children and pets. Nothing more.
