<div>On the morning of August 28, Mr. R was heading to work when his car was stopped by ICE, and he was arrested for immigration violations. Mr. R has lived peacefully in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C. for over 20 years with his wife and daughter. He works hard to provide for his family as the breadwinner, attends local Catholic mass, and is incredibly proud of his daughter, a bright local college student.

<div><strong>Mr. R. is now in immigration detention, and he is eligible to seek release from detention and to fight the government's case to deport him. </strong>He and his family urgently hope that he can be released from detention and return home as soon as possible.
