<div>50, my sweet boy, has been with me since he was only 6 weeks old. Today he’s 5 ½ years old, full of love, loyalty, and a gentle spirit that has gotten me through so much. Unfortunately, last week he was diagnosed with a torn CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) — a painful injury that requires surgery to repair. Without it, he can’t walk or live comfortably.

<div>Right now, our living situation makes things even harder. We live on the third floor, which means 38 stairs every time 50 needs to go outside. The vet has made it clear: stairs are not an option anymore. Carrying him isn’t possible — he weighs 143 lbs — and it breaks my heart to see him struggle.
