<div>Heather has been officially approved to be on the transplant list at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. This entails her to relocate to Phoenix as soon as possible to be ready to accept the organ transplant once one becomes available.

<div>Heather has been living with Type 1 diabetes since the age of 9 relying on daily insulin shots. At 34, she was told her kidneys were no longer functioning properly and despite the doctors working with her to slow the decline, her kidney function decreased and she had to begin home hemodialysis.

<div>This transplant could completely change Heather’s life and give her a chance to regain a sense of normalcy after years of medical challenges to live a life free of insulin and dialysis treatments.
