<div><strong>Help a Dumped Mama Cat and Her Unborn Kittens Get a Second Chance</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, someone pulled up outside ARE Animal Rescue in a black pickup truck, took a terrified cat out of the vehicle, literally dumped her outside our fence while we were calling for him to wait, and sped away with gravel flying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, since our staff had heard the kitty screaming, we were already outside and able to get her safely into a carrier before she could run into traffic or disappear into the nearby orange groves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is safe now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is incredibly sweet and friendly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And she is pregnant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While we don't yet know how many kittens she's carrying, the average litter is about five kittens. That means we could soon be caring for six lives instead of one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At ARE Animal Rescue, our average cost to rescue, spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip, and prepare a cat or kitten for adoption is <strong>$267 per cat.</strong> If this mama has an average-sized litter, we'll invest approximately<strong> $1,602</strong> in giving this family the healthy future they deserve—and that's assuming there are no medical complications from today's events.

<div>No animal deserves to be abandoned.
</div>

</div>
<div>Today, this mama was frightened and confused. Because she was seen in time, her story has a chance to end very differently.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar—whether it's $10, $25, $50, or the sponsorship of one life at $267—brings this little family one step closer to safety, health, and loving homes.
