After spending the day out and socializing, we couldn’t stop thinking about the reality faced by so many people living without a home in our city. The lack of support and resources for Toronto’s unhoused community weighed heavily on our hearts.

<div>This conversation did not end simply, even after our dinner, we saw a homeless individual who looked cold, vulnerable, and unsure of his safety and health. Moved by concern, we called the non-emergency line to get him the help he needed. That moment sparked a powerful idea — what if we could do more? What if we could create a network to connect students and community members to volunteer and directly support those in need?

<div>That’s how Hands That Help Toronto was born — an initiative to distribute nutritious food, beverages, and essential items to people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Toronto. Our goal is simple: to bring kindness, care, and tangible support to those who need it most.
