I’ve been <a href="https://www.discogs.com/artist/2083107-Rayny-Forster?srsltid=AfmBOopuply9cufQZsmoiYH8GJqHffhlln1Wh0_bKhadrYLd1Ww4Y4Ki" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">playing</a> and <a href="https://exclaim.ca/music/article/canadian_metal_label_moshpit_tragedy_sets_out_to_combat_record_industry_woes_2" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">supporting</a> music most of my life, but this project has been the most special and closest to my heart.

<div>10 years ago, I had the silly idea of having my mom do a guest scream on my band's song. The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SKN-n_MYKs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">video</a> went viral and before we could blink, we ended up <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq3rXoOwBI0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">releasing an album</a> and touring fairly heavily over the next couple of years.

<div>What struck me most was not only how she inspired both regular folks and heavy music fans around the world, but the extent to which the music scene embraced her.

<div><strong>We recently disclosed that she has been courageously </strong><a href="https://metalinjection.net/news/grindmother-announces-final-two-shows-amid-dementia-diagnosis" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>facing a diagnosis of dementia</strong></a><strong>. </strong>It's a challenge that has deeply affected her and our family.

<div>Upon hearing about this, our friends in the band <strong>Cattle Decapitation</strong> have graciously given us the opportunity to perform on the two Canadian dates of their <em>No Fear For Tomorrow Tour</em> in December. <div>These farewell concerts will be a lasting celebration of her spirit and legacy, and will create the much-needed closure that my mom and I didn't get to experience during our original run several years ago.

<div><strong>Since we are not currently a touring unit, however, there are extra costs to get this running from ground level and we really need your help to make these farewell shows be the very best they can be.</strong>
