<div>After much reflection, I have decided to organize a fundraiser for myself. While I’ve previously raised funds to help friends, this is the first time I've created a campaign for me. I understand this isn’t a common practice and must admit it feels a little uncomfortable, but I think current circumstances make it necessary.

<div>In recent years, I’ve faced several health challenges that have required extensive medical intervention and costly medications. Although I'm fortunate to have healthcare coverage, there remain many essential expenses that are not included, or are so expensive that even with insurance, the financial burden is becoming overwhelming, so I’m asking my community of friends for assistance, keeping in mind that many hands make light work. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated. (If you do donate, please use my given first name, Virginia Parker, as this is what my bank has on file.) Sharing this fundraiser up would also be a great help - please do that!

<div>The fundraiser is currently capped at the amount I estimate would cover about a year’s worth of medical expenses that are not insured, as well as some outstanding medical debts that have become difficult to manage.

<div>On a positive note, I continue to make lifestyle changes that I believe will improve my health over time, and with these adjustments I’m hopeful that my medical expenses will decrease in the future.
