<div>This summer, I’m attempting to swim across the Strait of Georgia without a wetsuit because apparently regular marathon swimming was not inconvenient enough.

<div>The route is roughly 29km in a straight line. Unfortunately, I navigate like a confused Roomba, so realistically it will probably be closer to 40km+.

<div>The crossing will involve 10+ hours in cold Pacific water, currents, jellyfish, escort boats, kayak support, and an increasingly concerning grocery bill.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’m fundraising to help cover the very glamorous realities of open-water marathon swimming, including support boats, marine safety logistics, kayak support, fuel, and feeding supplies.
</div>

</div>
<div>It turns out the hardest part of swimming across the Strait is funding all the people responsible for stopping me from dying while doing it.
</div>

</div>
<div>Any additional funds raised beyond the crossing itself will go toward helping me represent Team Canada at the 2027 World Masters Championships in Budapest.
</div>
