<div>I am Ruby "SunShine" Taylor—<strong>a proud double HBCU alumna</strong> of <strong>Howard University and Virginia Union University</strong>, a Black, disabled woman, and the founder of <strong>Financial Joy School</strong>.
</div>

</div>
<div>In 2012 I suffered a traumatic brain injury and my life drastically changed. My career as a school social worker ended and I was put in a financial and physical crisis. I was on the verge of homelessness because I had no savings or investments and I don’t come from generational wealth. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I realized that although I had degrees and dedicated my life to helping others as a social worker, no one had ever taught me how to build wealth for myself or my family. I had no investments. No savings. No plan. And I am not alone.
</div>

</div>
<div>The truth is, <strong>Black families—and especially HBCU students and graduates</strong>—are still being left out of the generational wealth building.
</div>

</div>
<div>The racial wealth gap continues to widen, and projections still show that by <strong>2053</strong>, the median net worth of Black families will hit <strong>$0</strong> if we don’t act.
</div>

</div>
<div>But we <strong>will act</strong>.

<div>I’m on a mission to donate <strong>50,000 Generational Wealth Kits</strong>—including our award-winning <strong>LEGACY! Card Game</strong> and a <strong>step-by-step financial empowerment guide—to HBCU students and alumni. Because both current students and graduates deserve to know how to invest, build, and create generational wealth.</strong>
