<div>My name is Ovileya and I am a transgender woman from Bangladesh, now living in Greece as a refugee. I was forced to flee my home after surviving rape, violence, and kidnapping, as well as insults, abuse, and harassment from my family and other community members.

<div>It was not possible for me to survive any longer in Bangladesh, but after a long struggle, I have now been recognized as a refugee in Greece, where I have been living for the past five years. In a landmark ruling, I won the right to be officially recognized as a woman. I am now able to live with more dignity, peace, and respect than was possible in the country I fledHowever, I still face harassment and hardship. Nor do I have access to the funds or work which would enable me to meet the significant costs of gender-affirming surgery myself. As such, I am asking for your support to raise €10,000 to meet the costs of this vital surgery.

<div>I have been taking hormones for several years, and with the support of friends, I was also able to get breast augmentation surgery. Now I am raising funds for sex reassignment surgery, the key final step in my journey to finally feeling at home in my body.

<div>Throughout my journey, I have learned that nothing can be achieved alone, only together. This surgery will help me to finally walk, work, sleep, and dance in the body that I have known was mine from a very young age. This is my dream and has been ever since I can remember.
