<div>I don’t like doing these things but we are in a rough space right now. The day before thanksgiving we received the call that a liver was available and we had to rush home from our jobs, pack our bags, and dash to the airport.

<div>As some of you know my son Gavin was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitus (psc). This disease progressively scars the liver and plugs up the bile ducts until failure. The only real solution is organ transplant.

<div>Gavin has been going through multiple hospital stays, surgeries, and endless pokes and blood tests. All this and he has managed to graduate high school and work full time so he can do normal things like snowboarding and playing video games with his friends. He loves customizing his car, his cat lucky, and is an amazing person.

<div>This go fund me is to help with medical bills, help him pay his car payment, and to help pay for all the expenses with being so far from home while he is recovering. We have to stay near Stanford University where the leaders of this disease are. The operation on thanksgiving day took nearly 12 hours and was a success, with all signs pointing toward a new beginning for my son. The treatment unfortunately will keep us here, 670 miles away from home, for around 3 months.
