<div>It is with deep sorrow that I share the tragic passing of our dear brother-in-law, Olivier Kilambwe Kimpinde, known lovingly as "Tonton Olivier," who was involved in a hit-and-run accident on the morning of April 10th, 2025, in Lubumbashi, Congo. Olivier had just returned to Congo the previous day.

<div>He was a devoted husband to his wife Lucie and a caring father to their three wonderful children. Olivier was also passionate about music and dedicated himself to preserving and teaching the rich heritage of music through initiatives like Sound of Congo, an organization that raised funds to buy musical instruments and teaching people about music.

<div>We cannot always understand why a loved one such as tonton Olivier could go so soon. It is hard to imagine. Even amid this painful reality, we will still cherish so many memories of our dear beloved brother, tonton Olivier.

<div>As we make burial arrangements in Congo to honor tonton Olivier’s memory, we humbly ask for your support in two critical areas:

<div>Travel and Funeral Costs: Funds are needed to enable my sister da Lucie to travel to Congo for the burial and to assist with associated expenses.

<div>Support for the Family: Upon their return to the USA, my sister da Lucie and the children will face emotional and financial challenges as they navigate life without tonton Olivier.

<div>Our goal is to raise $55,000 to ensure a dignified farewell for tonton Olivier and provide the necessary support for his grieving family.

<div>C’est avec une profonde tristesse que je vous annonce le décès tragique de notre cher beau-frère, Olivier Kilambwe Kimpinde, affectueusement appelé « Tonton Olivier ». Il a été victime d’un accident de la route avec délit de fuite le matin du 10 avril 2025 à Lubumbashi, en République Démocratique du Congo. Olivier venait de rentrer au Congo la veille.

<div>Il était un époux dévoué pour sa femme Lucie et un père attentionné pour leurs trois merveilleux enfants. Tonton Olivier était également passionné de musique et s’était engagé à préserver et à enseigner le riche patrimoine musical congolais à travers des initiatives telles que Sound of Congo, une organisation visant à collecter des fonds pour l’achat d’instruments de musique et l’éducation musicale des jeunes.

<div>Nous ne pouvons pas toujours comprendre pourquoi un être cher, comme Tonton Olivier, nous quitte si tôt. C'est difficile à imaginer. Même au milieu de cette réalité douloureuse, nous chérirons toujours les nombreux souvenirs de notre cher frère bien-aimé, Tonton Olivier.

<div>Alors que les preparatis se font pour les funérailles au Congo pour honorer la mémoire de Tonton Olivier, nous sollicitons humblement votre soutien dans deux domaines essentiels :
