<div>Dear Friends and Supporters, Assalamu alaykum (peace and blessings be upon you),
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Sara Hassan and I am working with the Goodwill Humanitarian Foundation in Uganda.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser began with the intention of helping the community of Butandiga, Uganda replace the carpet in their masjid. Over time, and through a year of close support, it became clear that one-time donations alone are not enough for a small, remote community located over 300 km from the main city—especially when larger charities are unable to support them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After open discussions with community leaders, we shifted toward a sustainable solution: investing in a community-owned taxi.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Transportation is essential in their region. A taxi would provide steady, halal income—helping cover masjid needs, support families, and reduce long-term dependence on donations. This approach allows the community to sustain itself with dignity and stability.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As Ramadan approaches—a month of multiplied reward—we invite you to be part of a form of sadaqah jariyah that continues beyond a single donation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser is also a form of charity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>May Allah (God) place barakah (blessings) in every intention and reward you abundantly. Ameen (Amen).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our Goal:</strong>
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise $15,000 CAD to purchase a 7-seater (or larger) vehicle that will be used as a community taxi in Butandiga, Uganda.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This vehicle will provide reliable transportation across long distances and generate steady, halal income for the community. With the income earned from the taxi, the community will be able to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Access clean food and safe drinking water
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Support education for their children
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maintain their masjid and basic community needs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Reduce long-term dependence on external donations
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is not a temporary solution—it is an investment in self-sufficiency, dignity, and lasting impact.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Donate:</strong> Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will bring us closer to our goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Share: </strong>Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks will help us reach more people and increase our chances of success.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Pray:</strong> Keep our community in your prayers. Your spiritual support is equally valuable and deeply appreciated.
</div>
