I'm a Houston-bred actor/singer/dancer/writer living in London, and my work-in-progress cabaret show, "I Wanna Be a Gay Icon", is going up at the Phoenix Arts Club on 13th August 2026. Half monologue and half triple-threat musical performance, this show is a completely original work that not only employs myself, but two other amazing artists: West End Musical Director James Doughty and Houston-born Choreographer/performer Caitlin Cannon Fagan! I would consider everyone who has worked on this show a Gay Icon.

<div>MacKenzie, in her attempt to win the title of "LGBTQ+ Legend", will sing, dance and yap her way through the songs of the greats including Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton and even our lord and saviour, Liza Minnelli.
