<div>Hi, I’m Kimberly Gemarino, and I’m working on my Master’s in Project Management at NYU.
</div>

<div>I came to the U.S. from the Philippines in 2018 with nothing but a dream of building a better life through education. NYU has been everything I hoped for, but right now, I’m struggling to stay.
</div>

</div>
<div>One of my main sources of funding for my program was my on-campus job, but I recently lost it due to budget cuts. On top of that, my student loan only covered half of my tuition. As an international student, I can’t work off-campus or qualify for federal aid. If I can’t pay for school, I risk losing my degree, my visa, and the life I’ve worked so hard to build here.

<div>My family has always been supportive of me completing this degree, but as an international student, I have to carry this responsibility on my own strength. That’s why I’m doing everything I can—applying for scholarships, looking for on-campus opportunities, and seeking every resource possible.
