Hey there! My name is Cody Sylvester and I’m looking to create and publish a cartoon television pilot from my 11 page script, complete with 50+ storyboard frames, professional music, quality voice-acting and of course - dinosaur sounds. The more funds we can raise, the more detailed the animation/storyboarding will be! Every penny helps ️

Graduating right after a writer’s strike with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Screenwriting from CSU Northridge, it’s now especially difficult to find an entry level job in this career field. I want to take the creative power into my own hands and work with very talented people to create a pilot episode of one of my long time favorite cartoon ideas. All funds will go to hire a storyboard artist, musician(s), voice actors and other talents. As the writer and producer, I’m able to work on this in-between my day job and will not touch any of the money myself.

This slingshot slinging western, “Tyrannosaurus West,” takes place 66 million years ago during the late Cretaceous era on the island continent of Laramidia. In simpler terms, it takes place in the grand American West; back when dinosaurs roamed the land. Alongside these wonderful animals are primitive cowboys, simple country folk and, uh, crossroads demons. Our story follows demon outlaws named Levi Limousine and Johnny C. as they traverse the pre-historic American West pulling stunts, getting into pickles and engaging with magnificent dinosaurs.

I’m currently working with @teebart for the excellent sketches/character concepts, @dustinreesemusic who has written and recorded an amazing western intro song, and a few others who have helped with reviewing/refining my script and ideas.

Artists are very expensive and unfortunately no one has the time to completely commit to working on this project without pay. I understand this and would love to be able to pay artists what they deserve for this work. Please consider donating and supporting my independent project!
