<div>My mom is currently going through a major health challenge, and we — her daughter and son — are doing everything we can to support her, surround her with love, and help her regain her full vitality with strength, hope, and care.

<div>After six weeks of intensive hospitalization in Panama, she was finally able to undergo a delicate surgery to treat a small bowel fistula — a rare, serious, and fragile post-operative complication that requires highly specialized medical care.

<div>This surgery marks a crucial step in her healing journey. Thanks to her inner strength and close medical supervision, the outlook is hopeful.

<div>But the road to recovery is still long, with several more weeks of post-operative care, rehabilitation, nutritional follow-up, and therapeutic support ahead.

<div>Despite having good medical insurance, many essential costs are not covered — including intravenous nutrition, certain specialist consultations, and physiotherapy.

<div>This is where our family faces a tremendous challenge.

<div>Hospitalization costs, even after insurance, are estimated between $50,000 and $100,000 USD.
</div>

<div>This includes IV nutrition, specialized care, medical consultations, the involvement of several expert doctors, and essential follow-up treatment.

<div>IV nutrition alone is costing $645 USD per day.
</div>

<div>⚠️ This amount does not include rehabilitation therapy, post-operative follow-ups, or unforeseen medical complications.

<div>Après six semaines d’hospitalisation intensive au Panama, elle a enfin pu recevoir une opération délicate pour traiter une fistule intestinale de l’intestin grêle — une complication post-opératoire rare, sérieuse et fragile, qui exige des soins médicaux hautement spécialisés.

<div>Cette opération représente une étape cruciale dans son processus de guérison. Grâce à sa force intérieure et à une prise en charge rigoureuse, les perspectives sont encourageantes.

<div>Mais la route vers le rétablissement reste longue, avec encore plusieurs semaines de soins post-opératoires, de convalescence, de suivi nutritionnel et de soutien thérapeutique.
