<div> Currently, the owner of each home in Oceana pays a land lease amount specific to their home, as set by contract with the Oceanside Land Company, in addition to the HOA dues where every member pays the same amount. The Land Lease Fee ranges from $15 a month for the smaller, older homes to escalating monthly fees based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the newer, larger,  pricier homes with more amenities.  Every single owner buying a home in Oceana signs a contract agreeing to pay either the $15 a month land lease fee, or the escalating land lease fee which goes up every 10 years.  Now, the HOA's Board of Directors (ALL of whom own escalating land lease homes) is attempting to change the terms of the legal contracts without our permission so that Flat $15 owners will be forced to pay for the Escalating homeowners' land lease fees. Because this is unjust, illegal and plain old not affordable to those of us Flat Leasers who live on social security and nothing else, the Flat Lease Alliance has no choice: We MUST file a lawsuit to stop the HOA from instituting their unfair &amp; illegal plans.
