I grew up in a low-income household in New York City, living in NYCHA housing my entire life with my parents and siblings. Home was always shared — shared space, shared responsibilities, shared sacrifices — and it taught me early on the value of resilience, gratitude, and community. Now, I’m beginning a new chapter: moving into my first apartment and living on my own for the first time. While this step is exciting, it’s also emotional. Leaving the home I shared with my family represents growth, independence, and everything my parents worked so hard to give us. As I prepare for this transition, the reality of moving costs and furnishing an empty apartment adds up quickly. I’ve created an Amazon registry with basic household items and essentials to help turn an empty space into a livable, comfortable home through Amazon Registry. I’m also raising funds to help cover moving expenses and remaining furniture costs. While I’m doing my best to manage this on my own, a little truly goes a long way, and any support — whether through a contribution, a registry item, or simply sharing — means more than I can say. Thank you for supporting me as I take this step forward. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who’s part of this journey.
