<div><strong>9/15/2025 I informed my employer my wife is scheduled to deliver our new baby this Sunday 9/21/2025.</strong> The pregnancy had been well known. After three hours of silence, I got a phone call letting me know my position had been terminated effective immediately.

<div>My wife cares for our son at home and is set to take care of our daughter at home as well. I was responsible for our income and healthcare, and it’s gone.
</div>
<div>While I have just gotten done applying for unemployment, insurance, and SNAP benefits to try and continue to provide for my family, and I’m applying for jobs now. I am terrified for our future and that I will fail before any help arrives.

<div>Our village has been incredibly small over the years and we need help. I wish I had more words and could be more poetic, but that’s what’s happening.
