<div>Hola, soy María José, soy la Presidenta de la ONGD Teranga Extremadura. Trabajamos en Senegal, y ofrecemos formación profesional para jóvenes en situación de vulnerabilidad. La mitad de nuestros alumnos son talibés (niños obligados a mendigar durante toda su vida por las escuelas coránicas), y la otra mitad mujeres jóvenes analfabetas.

<div>Con este proyecto ofrecemos un futuro laboral a dos colectivos abocados a una vida sin futuro. Les ofrecemos una formación básica para reincorporarse a la sociedad (aprenden a leer, a escribir, francés, matemáticas, informática y cultura general), además de una formación profesional adaptada a sus características, es decir, en woolof, y muy práctica. Además, las formaciones que se ofrecen están todas relacionadas con el arte y la artesanía, como medio también terapéutico para contrarrestar, sobre todo los talibés, las difíciles situaciones vividas en sus vidas como mendigos.

<div>La financiación es difícil, las subvenciones son cada vez más pequeñas, y aunque trabajamos muchísimo para conseguir socios y en actividades solidarias para recaudar fondos, en Senegal el nivel de vida ha subido muchísimo, y cada vez todo es más caro. Necesitamos apoyo urgente para no tener que cerrar nuestro centro.
