Thanks to all of you, we were able to hire a lawyer for my dad and pay for the available legal protections. Thank you so much for your support!

However, after 6 months, my dad is still detained by ICE, caught in the current government’s legal processes. Asylum is not moving forward, and his request for release on bond was denied.

Our only option now is to appeal the judge’s decision to prevent his deportation and continue pursuing his asylum petition here, or seek to have him sent to Canada, where workers at least have the opportunity for a more humane asylum process.

¡Solidaridad!

Lawyers are expensive, and we once again need your help. Filing an appeal costs at least $5,500, and support from other sources has been exhausted. Please, I ask you to support our family during this very difficult time.

Hello, my name is Nestor, and I am raising funds to hire a lawyer to help with my father’s immigration status. My father, Antia Perfecto Obregon, was detained by ICE, even though he had an ongoing immigration process. He was unjustly detained and transferred to another state where he did not live. I would greatly appreciate any support — every small contribution will be very welcome for this cause.
