<div>Nací con sordera profunda bilateral y, desde muy pequeña, utilicé audífonos potentes. A pesar de los desafíos, logré rehabilitarme gracias al apoyo de mi mamá y terapias de lenguaje.

<div>En 2011, mi audición empeoró, pero con mucho esfuerzo y gracias al apoyo de mis padres, tuve la suerte de recibir un implante coclear en mi oído derecho. ¡Fue un cambio radical! Pude escuchar sonidos que desconocía, conversar con mayor facilidad y mejorar mi calidad de vida.

<div>Años más tarde, recibí un segundo implante en mi oído izquierdo, lo que mejoró aún más mi escucha espacial y equilibrio.

<div>Los implantes cocleares son una tecnología maravillosa, pero requieren procesadores externos para funcionar. Estos dispositivos son delicados y necesitan mantenimiento regular.
</div>

<div>Mi problema es que mi primer procesador externo ya está descontinuado y el segundo está a punto de dejar de tener soporte. Cada procesador cuesta alrededor de $14,000 USD, lo que está fuera de mi alcance económico.

<div>Es por eso que les pido su apoyo. Los implantes y procesadores no solo mejoran mi audición, sino que me permiten conectarme con el mundo que me rodea. Sin ellos, me siento aislada y mi calidad de vida se ve gravemente afectada.

<div>I was born with profound bilateral hearing loss and have used powerful hearing aids since I was a baby. Despite the challenges, I was able to rehabilitate thanks to the support of my mom and language therapy. In 2011, my hearing worsened, but with great effort and thanks to the support of my parents, I was fortunate to receive a cochlear implant in my right ear. It was a radical change! I could hear sounds I didn't know, converse with greater ease, and improve my quality of life.

<div>Years later, I received a second implant in my left ear, which further improved my spatial hearing and balance. Cochlear implants are wonderful technology, but they require external processors to function. These devices are delicate and require regular maintenance.
