<div>Now, the future of this community is uncertain. The aftermath of Hurricane Melissa caused severe damage to the village and we have been engaged in restoring and retrofitting ever since. As a result, the landowners—also impacted—now need to sell the property. Without immediate action, the community risks losing not just land, but a deeply rooted cultural home that cannot easily be replaced.
