<div>I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but life has a way of changing everything in an instant.

<div>On July 4th, 2025 (just two weeks after my 31st birthday) I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer that has already spread to two lymph nodes.
</div>

<div>Right now, I’m in the middle of fertility preservation and preparing to begin chemotherapy, followed by surgery (possibly a double mastectomy), radiation, and years of medications to keep the cancer from coming back.
</div>

<div>This diagnosis has been overwhelming, not only for my health but also for my future. I’m a full time dental hygiene student only a few months away from graduating, and because of school I’m not working. As much as I want to focus on healing and finishing school strong, the financial burden of treatment is more than I can manage alone. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are staggering covering fertility preservation, medical bills, and transportation to appointments.
