<div><em>Together we are changing Lisa´s life with an education in South Africa </em>❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Who is Lisa? </strong>
</div>
<div>Lisa (her Xhosa name is Tafadzwa) was born in April 2022 and lives in Imizamo Yethu (a township settlement in Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa). Nomza, Lisa's mother, is in desperate need of financial support to provide her with the key to life - an education. South Africa is not an easy place to grow up in. There are thousands of Lisas. We cannot help all of them, sadly. But we can help this Lisa.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have known Nomza for nearly 15 years. She is an intelligent, hard-working and loving mother. We believe that no one deserves this opportunity more than her daughter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together with you, we would like to support her to the fullest extent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What will the funds be used for? </strong>
</div>
<div>The ultimate goal is to get Lisa through pre-primary, primary and high school over the next 15 years (more information on the schooling system and timeline below). 100% of the funds will go towards Lisa's education.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Which schools are you considering? </strong>
</div>
<div>The following schools are an ideal fit due to their high quality of education, close proximity, diversity and enriching learning environments. From personal experience, we can vouch for the schools' fantastic facilities and teachers.
</div>
<div>•	Pre-Primary school: Valley Pre-Primary School (more information <a href="https://www.valleypreprimary.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>)
</div>
<div>•	Primary school: Kronendal Primary School in Hout Bay (more information <a href="https://kronendalprimary.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>)
</div>
<div>•	High school: Camps Bay High School in Camps Bay (more information <a href="https://www.campsbayhigh.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What did we base our calculations on?</strong>
</div>
<div>Receiving a good education in South Africa is an expensive luxury. To calculate a total yearly cost, we considered 200 school days with a traveling distance from Hout Bay (her home) to Camps Bay (location of the school) of 10-20km:
</div>
<div>+	Traveling distance (<a href="https://www.myciti.org.za/en/myconnect-fares/pay-as-you-go/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MyCity bus prices</a>): 230 EUR / R 3'600 per year
</div>
<div>+	Educational material &amp; stationary (estimation, no reference available): 160 EUR / R 2'500 per year
</div>
<div>+	Uniform costs (<a href="https://www.campsbayprimary.co.za/home/uniform-shop/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CBPS uniform shop</a>): 320 EUR / R 5'000 per year
</div>
<div>+	School fees (<a href="https://www.campsbayprimary.co.za/home/school-fees/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CBPS school fees</a>): 2'500 EUR / R 40'000 per year
</div>
<div><strong>=	Cost per year: 3'210 EUR / R 51'100 </strong>
</div>
<div><strong>=	Total cost @ 15 years of education </strong>(see timeline below)<strong>: 48'150 EUR / R 766´500 </strong>(exchange rate from April 2022)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How does the schooling system work?</strong>
</div>
<div>To understand the timeline and milestones for this fundraiser, it is important to understanding the local schooling system. In South Africa, schooling begins with early childhood education (Grades RRR-R) for ages 3-6, focusing on play-based learning, social development, and basic literacy and numeracy. Primary school (Grades 1–7) builds core academic skills such as reading, writing, mathematics, and life skills, while high school (Grades 8–12) develops subject knowledge and critical thinking to prepare learners for further tertiary education, apprenticeship, or work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Which timeline and milestones did we set up to reach the end goal?</strong>
</div>
<div>For each year (or grade), we have created one milestones where one milestone equals the total yearly cost of 3'210 EUR. As such, we have set up the following timeline.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Pre-Primary school (Grade RRR-R):</em>
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade RRR in 2026 (collect funds in 2022 = Milestone 01)
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade RR in 2027 (collect funds in 2023 = Milestone 02)
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade R in 2028 (collect funds in 2024 = Milestone 03)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Primary school (Grade 1-7):</em>
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade 1 in 2029 (collect funds in 2025 = Milestone 04)
</div>
<div>• ...
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade 7 in 2035 (collect funds in 2031 = Milestone 10)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>High school (Grade 8-12):</em>
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade 8 in 2036 (collect funds in 2032 = Milestone 11)
</div>
<div>• ...
</div>
<div>• Attend Grade 12 in 2040 (collect funds in 2036 = Milestone 15)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Wer ist Lisa?</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Wir kennen Nomza seit fast 15 Jahren.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Welche Schulen ziehen wir in Betracht?</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div>• Vorschule: Valley Pre-Primary School (weitere Informationen <a href="https://www.valleypreprimary.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hier</a>)
</div>
<div>• Grundschule: Kronendal Primary School in Hout Bay (weitere Informationen <a href="https://kronendalprimary.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hier</a>)
</div>
<div>• High School: Camps Bay High School in Camps Bay (weitere Informationen <a href="https://www.campsbayhigh.co.za" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hier</a>)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Worauf basieren unsere Berechnungen?</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div>+ Transportkosten (MyCity-Buspreise): 230 EUR / R 3'600 pro Jahr
</div>
<div>+ Lernmaterial &amp; Schreibwaren (Schätzung, keine Referenz verfügbar): 160 EUR / R 2'500 pro Jahr
</div>
<div>+ Schuluniform (CBPS-Uniformshop): 320 EUR / R 5'000 pro Jahr
</div>
<div>+ Schulgebühren (CBPS-Schulgebühren): 2'500 EUR / R 40'000 pro Jahr
</div>
<div><strong>= Kosten pro Jahr: 3'210 EUR / R 51'100 </strong>
</div>
<div><strong>= Gesamtkosten @ 15 Jahre Bildung</strong> (siehe Zeitplan unten): <strong>48'150 EUR / R 766'500</strong> (Wechselkurs April 2022)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Wie funktioniert das Schulsystem?</strong>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Vorschule (Klasse RRR–R):</em>
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse RRR im Jahr 2026 (Spendensammlung 2022 = Meilenstein 01)
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse RR im Jahr 2027 (Spendensammlung 2023 = Meilenstein 02)
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse R im Jahr 2028 (Spendensammlung 2024 = Meilenstein 03)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Grundschule (Klasse 1–7):</em>
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse 1 im Jahr 2029 (Spendensammlung 2025 = Meilenstein 04)
</div>
<div>• …
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse 7 im Jahr 2035 (Spendensammlung 2031 = Meilenstein 10)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>High School (Klasse 8–12):</em>
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse 8 im Jahr 2036 (Spendensammlung 2032 = Meilenstein 11)
</div>
<div>• …
</div>
<div>• Besuch Klasse 12 im Jahr 2040 (Spendensammlung 2036 = Meilenstein 15)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Wo ist Lisa heute?</strong>
