<div>Lisa (her Xhosa name is Tafadzwa) was born in April 2022 and lives in Imizamo Yethu (a township settlement in Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa). Nomza, Lisa's mother, is in desperate need of financial support to provide her with the key to life - an education. South Africa is not an easy place to grow up in. There are thousands of Lisas. We cannot help all of them, sadly. But we can help this Lisa.

<div>Receiving a good education in South Africa is an expensive luxury. To calculate a total yearly cost, we considered 200 school days with a traveling distance from Hout Bay (her home) to Camps Bay (location of the school) of 10-20km:

</div>
<div>To understand the timeline and milestones for this fundraiser, it is important to understanding the local schooling system. In South Africa, schooling begins with early childhood education (Grades RRR-R) for ages 3-6, focusing on play-based learning, social development, and basic literacy and numeracy. Primary school (Grades 1–7) builds core academic skills such as reading, writing, mathematics, and life skills, while high school (Grades 8–12) develops subject knowledge and critical thinking to prepare learners for further tertiary education, apprenticeship, or work.

Der Fokus liegt auf spielerischem Lernen, sozialer Entwicklung sowie grundlegenden Lese-, Schreib- und Rechenfähigkeiten.
