The project involves identifying a community need or problem, and then the Scout plans and carries out a project to address it. The project aims to benefit the community, bring people together, and make a positive difference in the lives of those in that community. It allows the Scout to demonstrate their leadership and organizational skills in a team setting and is the final requirement to reaching the coveted rank of Eagle.

<div>For my Eagle project, <strong>I will be constructing and installing two octagonal picnic tables at the Shirley Council on Aging, in Shirley, MA.</strong> The plan is to provide seating for outdoor events at the Shirley Council on Aging. The problem of inadequate outdoor seating was brought to our attention by the director of the center. Given that my grandmother lives in the town, I thought that this project would be able to help her community.
